Mrs Deirdre Meleady - Personal Assistant to the Chief Executive

Deirdre MeLeady is the Personal Assistant to the Chief Executive, Chair and Council members at the Northern Ireland Practice and Education Council for Nursing and Midwifery (NIPEC).

Deirdre has worked for the past 29 years in the health service starting off as a Clerical Officer in the College of Nursing in the Royal Victoria Hospital, then moving to National Board for Nursing and Midwifery as a Personal Secretary until she took up her post within NIPEC.

Deirdre provides a high-level Personal Assistant support service to NIPEC’s Chief Executive, Chair and Council members. She continues to establish and maintain effective networks both internal and external to the Council to ensure that effective communication is in place at all times. She manages all activities central to the effective and efficient operation of the Chief Executive’s office and is responsible for the day to day management and supervision of NIPEC’s reception staff within the Corporate Services Team.
