Revalidation – What it means for you
Revalidation is, the new process that all nurses and midwives in the UK will need to follow to maintain their registration with the NMC. Find out everything you need to know about Revalidation from the NMC by clicking on the image above.
Taking effect from April 2016, revalidation will help you, as a nurse or midwife, to demonstrate, that you are practising effectively. It will encourage you to reflect on the Code, on your practice and demonstrate that you are living by the standards set out in it. You will need to gather evidence to demonstrate how you have met the requirements of revalidation and the NMC strongly recommend you do this by developing a portfolio. NIPEC’s electronic portfolio has been updated to help you evidence you have met the requirements of revalidation - https://nipecportfolio.hscni.net
